Pirates Of The Caribbean – On Stranger Tides

 I was really excited for the fourth installment of the pirate’s adventure, but when i went to see it and i was surprisingly disappointed. In my opinion i feel that it didn’t live up to the past three films. I think that’s because it was directed by a different director and didn’t star Keira Knightley or Orlando Bloom. It did have a few quirks however with Jack being his usual self and repeating the famous line ‘im captain jack sparrow’ i do however feel that he played a minor role and felt that the story was more based around Barbossa and Blackbeard. I was fairly disappointed although its worth a watch for the funny lines. I personally preferred the first three films rather than this one and now that Orlando and Keira aren’t in it i don’t think that it can rightly be called Pirates of the Caribbean.

Pixie For Lipsy!

At just 20 years of age pop princess Pixie Lott has a lot of achievements under her belt including a number one single for ‘Mamma Do’, a number one album for ‘Turn it Up’and in 2010 made her film debut in ‘Fred the Movie.’

Pixie’s also considered a fashion icon being an ambassador for fashion website Lipsy London. She launched her first spring summer collection last year and is now back with her second.

Below we follow Pixie in designing and coming up with the idea for her collection, pitching it to buyers, picking the models to model her collection along with the photoshoot and sales day to get an insight into how Pixie came up with the ideas.

The second part of the collection Pixie Party is the dressier side which includes nightwear such as dresses and tops perfect for a party or night out on the town. ‘Everyone loves a good party‘Pixie said in one of the videos about making her collection. Olly Murs

Olly Murs runner up on the X Factor in 2009 began his first headline tour on Friday April 29^th at Margate Winter Gardens.

The Essex heart throb put on an amazing show filled with upbeat songs from his debut self titled album Olly Murs.

The supporting acts ‘The Kixx’ and Irish girl band ‘Wonderland’ got the crowd singing and dancing along before Olly kicked off his headlining show.

The Kixx gave a good rock vibe and sounded like a cross between Mcfly and The Script if you’re a fan of either of those then you’re bound to love them.

Irish girl band Wonderland founded by Westlife`s Kian Egan continued the musical vibe singing songs from their upcoming self titled album which is out the beginning of June, including their first song ‘Not a Love Song’ along with Nothing Moves Me and their new single Starlight.

The crowds were really upbeat when Olly came on at 9pm wearing a blue blazer, chinos and a white shirt. He began the show with his Number 1 single, Please Don’t Let Me Go and ending with his new single ‘Busy’.

Olly puts on an amazing show and makes everyone leave with a massive smile on their face.

I would definitely recommend you go and see him live as it was a fantastic experience. I’m now cursed with the concert bug and can’t wait to go to another one.

Never Let Me Go

Starring Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan two of my favorite actresses I was excited to see this movie.

Having arrived ten minutes late to the screening I was a little unsure about what was happening. However as id seen the trailer I got the general idea of what was going on and what the film was about. The film is about three children, Cathy, Ruth and Tommy who grew up at the idyllic boarding school Hailsham not knowing the truth of why they were there.

Throughout the film we begin to understand the reason they spent their lives at Hailsham was to prepare them for later life as donors for people who need transplants.

Having found out their fate they have to deal with friendship and love while processing their lives.

This is a good film that leaves you thinking about life and to treasure it but also a little confused about donors and their lives and whether you have a chance to donate or whether it’s desired.  It’s a film you will be thinking and trying to process for days but worth a watch for the scenery and acting.

Kian Egan And Jodi Albert Expecting First Baby

It was announced today that Westlife`s Kian Egan and Wonderland’s Jodi Albert are expecting their first child.

Jodi took to Twitter to announce the news saying ‘Myself and my husband Kian are delighted to say that we are expecting our first baby! We are so happy and cannot wait to be parents x’

It looks like Jodi’s bandmates; Corrina, Leigh, Sharon and Kasey are also delighted to hear the news as they each took to Twitter to announce how excited they were.

Corrina tweeted ‘so you all know now…our sis and best friend @Jodiwonderland is gonna have her first baby with our big bro and amazing manager @Kianeganwl so happy! x’

Kasey and Sharon are also excited with Kasey tweeting ‘so delighted for our Jodi and Kian expecting their first baby! Yay were gonna have a 6^th wondie xxxxxx’

Sharon then tweeted ‘Yes im gonna be an aunt   to my beautiful friends @Jodiwonderland and @Kianeganwl there gonna make amazing parents! Exciting times ahead xx’

Leigh continued the excitement by saying ‘Just wanna say im over the moon for my beautiful friends Jodi and Kian they’re gonna be the best parents in the world. Love you both Xxx’

By the tweets on Twitter it looks like the girls are excited that Jodi and Kian are expecting their first child-as am I.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Having watched all the Harry Potter movies and watched Harry, Ron and Hermione grow up I thought it would be worth seeing how it all ended. It certainly didn’t disappoint.

How JK Rowling wrote the books I have absolutely no idea, her imagination is admirable.

In the final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is split into two parts.

Part 1 was basically about Harry finding out about The Deathly Hallows whereas Part 2, the final installment was more about the epic battle between ‘he who cannot be named’ - Lord Voldermort and the boy wizard, Harry Potter. It was good against evil all in one epic battle to the death.

It was amazing to watch.

Special effects played a huge part in the final installment with spells being cast and castles being blown up, all with the use of effects and CGI.

Make-up also played a big role in the final film, especially with Lord Voldermort played by the dashing Ralph Fiennes, it was all him in the role, he shaved his hair and sat through make up for a certain amount of hours each day all to get the role completely right.

When the film ended I had a few tears, not just because it was the final film but because I had grew up watching the films and it was as though my childhood had ended.

I would definitely suggest you watch this film for all reasons but especially for the acting as you can tell a lot of work has gone into the making of them. It’s a brilliant film and my favorite film out of the franchise in my opinion.

Glee The 3D Concert Movie

Being a fan of `Glee` and having seen `Glee Live` I had to go and see `Glee Live 3D The Concert Movie` to relive the experience. The live show was amazing and I was interested to see how it could be transformed into a movie and to my delight it certainly fulfilled my expectations.

Glee The 3D Concert Movie’ is basically ‘Glee Live in 3D’ so you get to see your favorite characters from Glee singing the songs from the show on stage, which is then put on to DVD for people who weren’t lucky enough to see the live show but who still wish to experience it. The movie also features backstage interviews with the cast of `Glee` as their characters along with fans stories about how `Glee` has changed their lives. One example that stood out for me was a fan who has dwarfism, as a result of watching glee she felt determined not to let her dwarfism get in the way of living her dreams of becoming a ‘cheerio’. Her story focused on her going to her prom with a boy from the football team, it was really sweet.
Although some of the songs got cut from the show including the Klaine Skit and Chris Colfer`s version of Beyonce`s ‘Single ladies’ it was still amazing to watch because the concert movie shows some of the songs that weren’t featured on the UK Glee Live Tour; some of my favorites’ were Lea Michele’s version of ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’ and Gwyneth Paltrow`s version of Celo Greens ‘Forget You’.
As a fan that has watched ‘The Glee Project’ I found the transference of the show from stage to screen was incredible. I particularly enjoyed seeing the choreography and dance routine sections.

I really enjoyed seeing the concert movie in 3D; I definitely believe that the 3D enhanced the audience.

I would definitely suggest you go and see this movie, especially if you were one of the lucky ones who got to go and experience it live. Even if you not a fan of ‘Glee’ its still a film you might enjoy as its one of those films you’ll find yourself singing and dancing along to for days afterwards.
