Lounge on the Farm
The
Kent crowds went wild at this
weekends 5th Lounge on the Farm festival on Merton Farm in the heart
of Canterbury, Kent.
Fridays
headline act, Pixie Lott got the audience on their feet with an upbeat set
including songs from her debut album `Turn it up`. Including `Boys and Girls`,
`Gravity` and her new single `Broken
Arrow`.
Speaking
afterwards Pixie said “This was my first time at Lounge on a Farm and it lived
up to my expectations. The crowd was amazing I can’t wait to come back and do
it all again next year”
On
Saturday evening on the main stage The Script performed their first 2 hour set singing tracks from
their new album `Signs and Faith`. All was going well until Danny O Donneghue
the main singer fell off the stage injuring his ankle, but carried on like the
professional he is.
Sophie
Kensington 18, from London said ` I camped out all night to see the indie band
Muse and it turned out they were playing in the afternoon, it was worth the
wait though, I really enjoyed Pixie Lott too, I like the pop vibe she brings to
her music`
All
the fans were excited to see Scissor Sisters make their comeback but to the
fans disappointment it was far from their best performance. Rumors were that lead singer Jake Shears had been drinking some
hours before his performance as he forgot the lyrics to new single `Fire with
Fire`.
The
weather stayed perfect for this years lounge on a farm, sun all weekend; all in
all the fans had a great time. Especially Naomi Groombridge from Dover in Kent,
she quoted ` I have had an absolutely amazing time at my first Lounge on a Farm
festival, the acts were brilliant, especially Muse and the Script. I will
definitely be coming back next year`.
